It’s summertime in the Rockies and wedding season is in full swing. Whether surrounded by the cool, crisp evening air high in the Rockies or capturing stunning views of the Denver skyline, there are so many beautiful locations for a Colorado summertime wedding.

From sunrise to sunset, the beauty and ambiance of the summer season is endless. Many couples love to highlight the beauty of the outdoors in their tented receptions through the use of lighting and drapery. As lighting and drapery specialists, we can transform a tented reception to bring in the warmth of summer and draw out new dimension through the use of fabrics and textures.
A Behind the Scenes Look of a Summertime Wedding Tent Transformation

With hard work and plenty of fun to go along, once a tent transformation is completed, a fresh new look can draw in and embrace all those that enter, leaving a lasting memory.
Sweet Memories to Share
Speaking of memories, making memories is one of our favorite pass times. A few years ago at the Ice Rink in Grandby, the LMD team had just completed a decor and event lighting setup. As we were wrapping up finishing touches, someone came up to Renee, one of the LMD team members, and asked her if she had some needle and thread. As a specialist working with drapery, Renee was always ready with a needle in case any mending was needed. This time though, instead of drapery, Renee carefully and artfully mended a large tear in the bride’s beautiful and detailed wedding dress minutes before the bride walked down the aisle.

Moments like these become memories we enjoy reflecting back on time and time again with a smile. We love to be a part of these moments no matter how big or small they might seem at the time.
Another memory that resonates strongly with our team happened just a few weeks ago, when a wind storm took out the power at a tented wedding reception. While the LMD team worked to restore electricity in the catering and main tent, the wedding guests gathered and began to sing a capella. The father of the bride approached our team after the event and shared with us that an unfortunate situation turned out to be one of the best memories of the evening. We have seen that even in tough situations, whether it be a torn dress or mother nature taking out the generator, that the power of community can be so incredibly motivating and uplifting and we love to be a part of that community.
Going the extra distance is what our team does, even if it might be to lock up a venue in the late evening hours, help wedding guests find their rooms at 2AM, or help to recover power when the weather takes a turn on the windy side. The LMD crew comes prepared to create and to lend a hand no matter the situation, making memories to last a lifetime.
